Deviation Actions
As I'm sure, many of you have encountered a meta deck by now. Six Samurai, Inzektor, Wind-Ups. These decks are all above most other decks in that they can swarm the feild with ease, can a ton of cards before even attacking, and limit your actions. chances are if you dont use these yourself, you have a hard time dueling them.
So what could you do to stop these decks? Negate monster effects, prevent swarming, and protecting your monsters.
I have a deck that can do all this while at the same time ensuring you're the only kid on the block with this deck.
Vanilla uses next to no effect monsters. They're all normal. The border of normal monsters is the color of vanilla, hence its name. Because you dont use effect monsters, Skill Drain will have no effect on you. And since you're not swarming, Summon Limit will likewise be of no effect.
To modernize this idea, I've added Xyz monstrers. Keep in mind if you want to build this in real life, it's uber expensive, using both Skill Drain and Rescue Rabbit.

You can of course add or take from this list, this is simply what works for me. Please note that Disigma and Shark Drake require 3 monsters to summon, not the standard 2. And using the Rabbit to summon Heliothrope, then get out Ophion will stop many decks dead in their tracks. 2550 atk and no one can special summon Lv.5+ as long as he has overlays. Also with BEWD and Rabidragon, you have access to the mighty Thunder-End Dragon, though he should only be used if you happen to be in the position to use it. And of course Pearl will be a major beatstick.)
The weaknesses of this deck are field advantage. If your opponent gets the upper hand early on and you have no traps to shut them down, you're pretty much done. Same goes if they wipe your field and you don't have a hand.
Also, if they pull Royal Decree on you, it'll be hard but not impossible to win.
And whatever you do, make sure they dont have time to get out something stronger than Blue-eyes. This deck plays by putting the pressure on and never letting off. Dont let your opponent play their combos. Just keep beating them down until they've lost.

I'm back - Manga dragons
After a long while I've decided to stop neglecting this group. I still dont play yugioh as much as I used to, but I'll play for fun occasionally.
Now this may be old news to some/most of you, but just coming back, I found these guys and felt the need to talk about them.
the Duel Dragons.
Now in the manga, there are no signer dragons. However the monsters still make appearances as incredibly powerful synchros. They appear to have a similar role to the Earthbound Gods in that they corrupt their users and emit a powerful miasma. While there are a total of 9, I'll be talking about the counterparts to the signer dragons.

New(old) yugioh site: Duel Monsters Genesis
Thought I'd tell everyone about a second website you can use to play yugioh if you wish. It's called Duel Monsters Genesis.
DMG is nothing like DN. for one, you play in the 3rd person, top-down, like an SNES RPG. There is no duel screen, you play on the map itself using duel disks. If you use a card that changes ATK/DEF or level, there are options to actually change the values on the card, and damage etc. is done automatically. fusion/synchro/Xyz summons have their own animations and sound effects, and certain cards like Stardust Dragon or Blue-eyes White Dragon have battle cries or holograms.
Probably the biggest difference is the additian
Unlimited format and Site Overhaul
Dueling Network implimented some updates recently that are going to completely change things up.
First, the biggest update: In traditional format you're allowed to use one of each banned card but must otherwise adhere to the ban list. The Unlimited column "screws the banlist" entirely. To test it out I recently made a deck with 3 Chaos Emperors, 3 Yatas, 3 Witches, 3 Raigekis.... you get the idea. Then I've seen decks with 3 Pots, 3 Gracefuls, and 3 sets of exodia.
This is NOT a category for someone who wants a serious duel, or even someone who wants to win. Chances are you will be completely annihilated unless you run more cheap cards than
